Stamps and postcards are used in a variety of ways. One of the more intriguing uses is to communicate names of movies. Many people treat these as collectibles. They can go to internet websites and find a number of sources where these can be purchased. The designs are often artistic. The stamps and postcards are not only collectibles, but many people use them for decorating purposes. They can be displayed in interesting ways. Some people purchase sheets of newly printed stamps which have a variety of movies on them. They can be framed or displayed in other ways.
One of the more popular movies on stamps and postcards is "Gone with the Wind." Another popular movie on stamps and postcards is "Star Wars." Some stamps and postcards highlight a specific movie actress such as Marilyn Monroe, Anne Hathaway, Tom Cruise, Helen Hayes, Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Bacall, or Humphrey Bogart. More recent editions include the six Harry Potter movies. These movies have been popular with the young. Another popular movie now on display is "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." The "Titanic" film also has historical value and is displayed on stamps and postcards.
Another creative use of postcards is as jigsaw puzzles with movies as the subject. Restaurant tables sometimes have these on display and they makes for interesting table talk while awaiting service.
