Antarctic stamps are printed by the governments of the Antarctic area. The stamps are often printed reflecting governmental rule over certain areas of the Antarctic region. There are the British Antarctic territories, and there are the Australian Antarctic territories. There is also the Bulgarian Antarctic. Stamps usually commemorate Antarctic explorers, native animals, or physical phenomena. Physical phenomenons include ice burgs, which have the potential to be huge in mass, and extremely frigid. Auroras are another great mention of physical phenomena. Auroras are great spectacles of light usually seen at night in the polar regions of the world such as the Antarctica. The Cree people call the Aurora spectacle of lights the "Dance of the Spirits."
